DNA's Miss Allégresse is the first granddaughter of our 6x Champion breeder, Averegan's Magnus! Allégresse's mother, Miss Allégria du DNA, comes from DNA's most successful line.
Allégresse results from a linebreeding of the line of Maple Brooks Barnabus, 10x winner of the Get of Sire. Her sire is Xanadu P. Esteem, a 2x Champion son of Barnabus. Barnabus is also Magnus' grandfather.
The objective of this "linebreeding" was to increase fiber production and crimp without compromising fineness and luster.
She went unnoticed until her first shearing and was never shown in competition until August 2023. She won the title of pale Reserve Champion at the 2023 Navan Fair fleece competition, as well as 1st position in a class of 10.
Allégresse is a large female with very strong bones. She has a superb head. Her fiber is organized with a well-pronounced crimp at high frequency. The luster is abundant.
We just have to mate her to improve micron uniformity and Allégresse will produce many champions! With its brown spot on its head, she will produce color.
